Family Home Renovation
Hanham, Bristol. (July 2024)
This full renovation completely transformed the ground floor of this home earlier this year. We started by removing the old structural internal walls to open up the space and create a brighter more welcoming layout. The entire area was stripped back to the bones — every floor lifted and rebuilt. The original floors had quite a bounce, so we installed a brand-new solid joist system, added high-performance PU foam insulation and fitted a piped underfloor heating system connected to the boiler for year-round comfort.
To flood the space with natural light we replaced the existing windows with beautiful new bifold doors opening out to the garden and creating that seamless indoor-outdoor feel. The new open-plan layout was designed around busy family life — with four children a large central island was a must so everyone can sit together, eat, chat and connect. We also built plenty of clever storage for coats, shoes and boots.
For those quieter moments we created a cosy TV retreat room with sliding pocket doors perfect for movie nights or escaping the hustle and bustle. We also added a new shower room and utility space with room for a washing machine and tumble dryer — because in a busy household, you can never have too much practicality!
To finish it all off we replaced the old porch with a brand-new front, added matching rear windows to complement the bifold and built extra cupboards under the stairs for even more storage.
The end result is a warm, functional, stylish family home full of light, comfort and space for everyone to enjoy together.
Paul & Caroline’s Kitchen Transformation
Longwell green, Bristol. (Sept 2024)
Paul and Caroline’s kitchen was dated, short on storage and didn’t make the best use of space. It was also cold in the winter, as the extension roof above had little to no insulation.
We completely reimagined the room to make it warmer, brighter and far more functional. The roof was fully insulated with new mood and ceiling lighting installed throughout to bring a fresh, welcoming feel.
By cleverly taking a small section from the hallway we were able to build the washing machine flush within the wall creating a seamless, built-in look without taking space from the kitchen itself.
We fitted underfloor heating for year-round comfort, with a soft LVT floor that feels warm and pleasant underfoot. To make the most of every inch, we added generous cupboard space and smart storage solutions ensuring everything has its place.
The result is a clean, modern kitchen that’s light, practical and perfectly suited to everyday family life.
Modern Garden Re-design
Keynsham, Bristol. (February 2025)
This project completely transformed the garden into a bright, modern, low-maintenance outdoor space perfect for family life and entertaining. The original garden had uneven levels and worn finishes. We began by reshaping and rebuilding the area to create a smooth functional layout.
We constructed new retaining steps to form a natural flow between the patio to lawn area, using clean, modern paving for a crisp and contemporary look. Each level was finished with precision to ensure seamless transitions and a high-quality feel throughout.
For the lawn, we installed premium Astro turf providing a lush, perfectly even surface that looks beautifully green all year round with no mowing ever required. It’s soft underfoot, durable, ideal for children, pets and play.
To make the space even more versatile we built a bespoke wooden lodge half designed for tool and bike storage. The other half fitted out as a comfortable garden office for working from home. This smart addition not only adds practicality but also enhances the garden’s overall design and usability.
The result is a space that’s easy to look after and a joy to spend time in all year round. It is a stylish, functional, low-maintenance garden that feels both contemporary and welcoming.
Coastal holiday homes
West Wales (March 2019)
We have extensive experience working with SIP (Structural Insulated Panel) systems. We have built dozens of buildings using this method from extensions, houses, loft conversions, holiday homes, micro homes and saunas.
One of our standout projects was a development of 14 modern homes on the West Coast of Wales all constructed using SIP panels. Thanks to the efficiency of this system each house was made watertight within just four days complete with doors, windows and roof coverings in place.
The finished homes were ultra-modern, energy-efficient and perfectly suited as comfortable family holiday retreats.
Our experience with SIP construction means we can deliver faster build times, exceptional insulation and a high-quality finish. We can design and build homes that are both sustainable and built to last.
Quinton House Roof Restoration
Clifton, Bristol (August 2025)
We were called to Quinton House in Clifton after the owner John noticed a small damp patch appearing on the ceiling. On investigation, we discovered that the flat roof above had been leaking and absorbing water for many years. It has caused significant hidden damage beneath the surface.
The structure was completely rotted and required a full rebuild. We carefully removed all the old, damaged timber, taking great care not to disturb the plasterboard ceiling of the toilets below. Once cleared, we installed an entirely new roof structure with heavy insulation to greatly improve warmth and energy efficiency.
To ensure long-term protection, we finished the roof with a GRP fibreglass system, providing a durable, watertight seal designed to last for decades to come.
The result is a strong, fully insulated, maintenance-free roof that not only solved the leak but also future-proofed the property for years ahead.
